Privacy Policy
Effective October 23, 2026
This policy explains what information Everyday Bills, Inc. ("Everyday Bills," "we" or "us") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We never sell your personal information, and we never sell your bank transaction data.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Everyday Bills rewards members for the bills they already pay. Members link their bank accounts so we can find their bill payments; we don't pay bills or move money for bills. This policy applies to our website, app and services. It doesn't apply to partner websites you visit from our offers, or to our bank connection provider's own services, which have their own policies. Some information we collect is covered by federal financial privacy laws, such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Where those laws apply, they apply instead of, or in addition to, this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, home address, date of birth and Social Security number; changes you make to your bills (such as confirming, renaming or ignoring a bill); and, if you turn on rent reporting, your landlord, rental address, rent amount, lease details and lease document.
Information from your linked bank accounts: described in the next section.
Information about your activity: the bills and bill payments we find, points, cash-outs, referrals, support messages, and how you use the app, such as pages viewed and features used.
Device information: your device type, browser, IP address, approximate location based on IP address, and information from cookies and similar technologies. If you add a passkey, we keep its public key and ID, the name your device or password manager gives it, and when it was added. Your face, fingerprint or device PIN never leave your device, and we never receive them. If you turn on text sign-in codes, we keep the mobile number you verify with your sign-in account.
Information from others: identity verification results; your credit score and the factors behind it from our credit score partner; identity monitoring alerts from our identity protection partner; people-search listings found by our privacy protection partner; rent reporting results from our rent reporting partner and the credit bureaus; the status of your membership charges from our billing partner; and referral details when a friend invites you. If an organization sponsors your membership, we receive the details it uses to invite you, such as your email.
3. Bank account and transaction data
You link your bank accounts through MoneyKit (part of Array), our bank connection provider. You sign in to your bank in MoneyKit's window; we never see or store your online banking username or password. MoneyKit's use of your information is described in its privacy policy.
Our access is read-only. Through MoneyKit we receive, for each account you link: the account name, type and last 4 digits; an identifier that lets us recognize the same account if it's linked again; where available, the names of the account holders; and your transactions (date, amount, description, merchant, category and payment method), including up to 90 days of past transactions when you link and new transactions as they post. If you pay your membership from your bank account, our billing partner (Stripe) receives, through MoneyKit, the account and routing numbers it needs to collect your membership fee. If you pay by card, you enter the card directly with Stripe, and we receive only its brand, last 4 digits and expiry.
We use your bank and transaction data to:
- Find your bills and the payments you make to them, and award, confirm or reverse points (for example when a payment is refunded)
- Show your spending tracker and bill calendar, and send reminders around when you usually pay a bill
- Report your rent to the credit bureaus, if you turn on rent reporting, using the rent payments we find
- Check that an account belongs to you, make sure each bank account earns for only one member, and prevent fraud and abuse
- Collect your membership fee from the checking account you choose, if you pay by bank
- Create totals for organizations that sponsor members or fund bonuses, such as how many enrolled members paid a type of bill on time. These never identify you, and groups smaller than 10 are hidden.
Your credit score comes from our credit score partner, not from your transactions. We don't sell your transaction data, we don't use it to make credit decisions about you, and we don't share your transactions with sponsors, billers or offer partners. You can unlink an account anytime in your Profile, or revoke access through your bank or MoneyKit. When you unlink an account, we stop receiving its transactions; when you close your account, we disconnect every account and delete the transactions we stored.
4. How we use your information
- Open and manage your account, and verify your identity
- Find your bills and bill payments, and calculate, confirm, reverse and redeem your points
- Collect your membership fee and process refunds
- Provide the features in your plan: spending tracker, credit score, rent reporting, identity protect and privacy protect
- Send receipts, reminders, statements, alerts and account notices
- Text you sign-in and verification codes, only if you turn on text sign-in codes in your Profile. We use that number only for these codes and the text alerts you choose, never for marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts (you can still sign in with an email code) or HELP for help, or turn text sign-in codes off in your Profile.
- Prevent fraud, keep your account secure, and meet legal requirements
- Provide support and respond to your requests
- Improve our service and understand how it's used
- Show you partner offers that match the types of bills you pay, if you choose to see them
5. How we share your information
We share information only as described here:
- MoneyKit, our bank connection provider, to link your accounts and receive your account and transaction data
- Stripe, our billing partner, to collect your membership fee from the card or checking account you choose and to refund it
- Experian, to verify your identity when you sign up: your name, address, date of birth, phone number and Social Security number
- Our credit score partner, if you turn on your credit score: your name, address, date of birth and Social Security number, to get your score with a soft inquiry
- Our identity protection partner, if you turn on identity protect: your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, email and phone number, to monitor for misuse and help you recover
- Our privacy protection partner, if you turn on privacy protect: your name, city, state and email, to find and remove your listings on people-search sites
- Our rent reporting partner and the credit bureaus, only if you turn on rent reporting: your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number (to match your credit file), lease details and the rent payments we find
- Cash-out partners, when you cash out: our rewards card issuer, gift card provider, check mailing service or debit card payout provider receive what they need to deliver your reward
- Service providers who help us run the service, such as email and text messaging, hosting and customer support providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Partners you choose: if you continue to a partner offer, we share your name, email and ZIP code with that partner
- Organizations that sponsor you: if an employer, property manager or other organization covers your membership, we share only that you've enrolled and totals across its program. Billers that fund bonus points receive totals only. We never share your bills, transactions, amounts, bank details or points with them. If you use Everyday Bills through your bank or credit union's own app, that institution receives your bills, the bill payments we find and your points so it can show them to you there.
- For legal reasons, when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect you, us or others from fraud or harm
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy
We don't sell your personal information. You can also opt out of any sharing that could be used for advertising on other websites on our privacy choices page.
6. Identity, credit and protection information
We use your Social Security number, date of birth and address to verify your identity, prevent fraud and meet legal requirements, and, when you turn them on, to get your credit score, provide identity protect and report your rent. Identity verification isn't a credit check. Getting your credit score is a soft inquiry, which doesn't affect your credit score. Identity alerts and people-search listings are shown only to you, and to our support team when you ask for help.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the service secure and understand how it's used. You can control cookies in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is open and as long as needed to provide the service. We keep transactions from your linked accounts while your account is open, and delete them when you close it. After you close your account, we keep some information for as long as the law requires, such as membership charge, points and identity records we must keep for at least five years and rent reporting records, and to resolve disputes and prevent fraud. We then delete or de-identify it.
9. How we protect your information
We use encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access for our team, and monitoring for unusual activity. Sensitive details like Social Security numbers and bank connection credentials are stored separately with extra protections. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email secure and add a passkey to your account.
10. Your choices and rights
You can update your information in your Profile, unlink bank accounts, turn plan features on or off, choose which emails and texts you receive, turn text sign-in codes on or off, and opt out of sharing for advertising. You can also ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we collect and how we use it
- Give you a copy of your information
- Correct information that's wrong
- Delete your information, except records we must keep by law
Make a request on our privacy choices page or at privacy@everydaybills.com. We'll confirm your identity, then respond within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent, who must show proof they can act for you. We won't treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
11. California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the rights described above under the California Consumer Privacy Act. In the past 12 months, we've collected these categories of personal information: identifiers, such as your name and contact details; financial information, such as your linked accounts, transactions and bill payments; government identifiers, such as your Social Security number; commercial information, such as your membership and rewards; credit information, such as your credit score, if you turn it on; internet activity; and approximate location. We collect them from you, your devices, and the service providers and partners described above, for the purposes described in this policy.
We use sensitive personal information, such as your Social Security number, bank account details and transactions, only to provide the service, verify your identity, prevent fraud and meet legal requirements. We don't sell personal information, and we don't knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.
12. Children's privacy
Everyday Bills is only for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
