Answers about bills, payments, rewards and your account.
Getting started
How does Everyday Bills work?
Link the bank accounts you pay bills from. We look through your recent transactions to find your bills, like rent, utilities, phone and insurance. You keep paying them the way you always do, and every time we spot a payment, you earn points.
Do you pay my bills for me?
No. Everyday Bills never moves money for your bills. Keep using autopay at the company, your bank's bill pay, a card, a check or Zelle. The only charge we ever make is your membership fee.
Which banks can I link?
Almost every US bank and credit union, through MoneyKit. Link every account you pay bills from, including checking accounts and credit cards, so we don't miss any payments.
What's the difference between Essentials and Unlimited?
Essentials is $39.99 a month (or $399 a year) and earns points on 3 bills you choose, with spending tracking and your monthly credit score. Unlimited is $49.99 a month (or $499 a year) and earns on every bill, plus rent reporting, identity protect and privacy protect. Both earn the same points per bill, up to $5.00 a month on Essentials and $10.00 on Unlimited.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. If Everyday Bills isn't right for you, request a full refund from Profile within 30 days of joining. Your membership ends, and points earned during that time are removed.
My employer or landlord covers my membership. How does it work?
Join with the link they give you. You get Unlimited at no cost to you. They see only that you joined, never your bills, bank or points.
Bills and points
How do you find my bills?
We look for payments that repeat each month to the same company, and for payments that are always bills (like utilities and insurance). We show you what we found, and you confirm the ones that are yours.
You missed one of my bills.
On the Bills page, tap Missing a bill?, pick the payment from your recent transactions and tell us what it's for. We'll look for that payee every month from then on.
I pay rent by Zelle, Venmo or check. Does it count?
Yes. Rent paid through a payment app or a check from a linked account counts. If we don't find it automatically, point us to it. Rent paid to a person gets a quick check by our team, usually within one business day, before its points confirm.
How many points does each bill earn?
It depends on the bill type, not the amount: 300 points for rent or mortgage, 100 for utilities and insurance, 75 for auto and education, 50 for phone, health and government, and 25 for other bills. 100 points = $1. Each bill earns once a month, on payments of $10 or more.
When do I get my points?
Points show as pending as soon as we spot the payment, usually within a day of it leaving your account. They confirm 7 days later, as long as the payment wasn't reversed or refunded.
Do bills I paid before joining count?
Bills you paid in the 30 days before you joined earn points once, as soon as you confirm them.
Why didn't a payment earn points?
Tap the payment in Activity to see why. Common reasons: the bill already earned this month, the payment was under $10, it isn't one of your 3 earning bills on Essentials, or you reached your plan's monthly limit. If something looks wrong, tap Something's wrong and we'll take a look.
How do I choose which bills earn on Essentials?
On the Bills page, turn Earn on for the 3 bills you want. If you don't choose, we pick the 3 that earn the most. Switch to Unlimited anytime to earn on all of them.
Why were my pending points removed?
If your bank reversed a payment, or the company refunded it, the points for it are removed. Your other points aren't affected.
Linked accounts
Can you move money from my account?
No. Our access to your transactions is read-only. Separately, you authorize us to collect your membership fee from the checking account you choose, and that's the only charge we make.
What does "reconnect your bank" mean?
Banks sometimes ask you to sign in again, for example after a password change. Until you reconnect, we can't see new payments. Reconnect within 60 days and we'll catch up on anything you paid in the meantime.
Can I link more than one bank?
Yes. Link as many accounts as you pay bills from in Profile. Each bank account can earn points for one member only.
How do I unlink a bank?
Go to Profile → Linked accounts and choose Unlink. Points you've earned stay. Keep at least one checking account linked while your membership is active, since your membership is paid from it.
Rewards and cash-out
How do I cash out?
From Rewards, choose Cash out. Send points to your Everyday Bills rewards card or a gift card from 1,000 points ($10.00), get a mailed check from 2,500 points ($25.00), or send it instantly to a debit card for a $0.99 fee.
When can I cash out?
Cash-outs open 30 days after you join, after the money-back window. Your points keep adding up until then.
What are Silver and Gold?
Status levels based on lifetime points. Silver members earn 5% more points and Gold members 10% more.
Is there a limit on how much I can earn?
Bill points are capped at 500 points ($5.00) a month on Essentials and 1,000 ($10.00) on Unlimited. Bonuses from achievements, invites and partners don't count toward the limit.
Credit and protection
Does checking my credit score lower it?
No. We get your score with a soft check, which never affects it. It updates once a month.
How does rent reporting work?
On Unlimited, confirm your rent bill, verify your lease, and each month we report the rent payment we see in your linked account to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. Keep paying your landlord the way you do now.
What does identity protect watch for?
Your email, phone and SSN on the dark web, new uses of your Social Security number, new credit inquiries and accounts, change-of-address requests, and court records. If something wasn't you, our restoration team helps you fix it, with up to $1 million in identity theft insurance from our partner.
What does privacy protect do?
We scan people-search and data-broker sites for your name, address and phone number, and send removal requests to every site that lists you. Sites usually remove listings within 1 to 4 weeks. We scan again every month.
Membership
How am I charged?
Your membership fee is collected from the checking account marked in Profile, monthly or yearly. You'll get a receipt by email each time, and yearly members get a reminder 30 days before renewal.
What if my membership payment fails?
We'll let you know right away. You have 7 days to retry before your rewards pause. Bills you pay while paused don't earn points, but your bills and points stay safe.
How do I change plans?
Go to Profile → Plan. Switching to Unlimited takes effect right away. Switching to Essentials takes effect at your next renewal.
How do I cancel?
Go to Profile → Plan → Cancel membership. Bills you pay after your current period ends won't earn points. You'll have 90 days to cash out your points.
Security and privacy
How do I sign in?
With a code we email you, or text you if you prefer. On the website you can also add a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID or your device PIN) in Profile, then choose Sign in with a passkey. Passkeys aren't available in the mobile app yet, or when you use Everyday Bills through your bank's website. There's no password to remember or steal.
Can I get my sign-in code by text?
Yes. In Profile, turn on Text me sign-in codes and enter your US mobile number. We text it a code to make sure it's yours. After that, choose Text me a code when you sign in, and we'll text the code to that number (we show its last 4 digits so you know where it went). Email codes keep working, and you can turn texts off anytime in Profile or by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. If you choose Text me a code before turning it on, we email the code instead.
Do you sell my data?
No. We use your information to run Everyday Bills and never sell it to advertisers or data brokers. Organizations that sponsor memberships never see your bills or bank details.
How do I delete my account?
Contact support, or use Privacy choices. We unlink your banks, delete your transactions and close your account, keeping only what the law requires.
